VOLUNTEER

Swati Ayyar is a second-generation Indian-American who grew up in the Bay Area. She earned a BA in Econ from UC Irvine and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has worked across industries ranging from public accounting and client services to corporate retail. After seeing the realities of climate change (local fires and understanding how much waste is generated by apparel production), Swati has a growing interest in social impact and sustainability. She is excited to volunteer with Counterstream where she's supporting the coordination of our advisory council. Swati's also passionate about cultural representation in media (particularly TV/film and food) and hopes to be a voice for her community (TBD on the how). 

Swati's looking for what's next in her career, hoping to find a strategic, senior program manager role, developing and operationalizing programs for a retailer with substantive goals and initiatives focused on sustainability and social impact.
